Bring the beauty of the harp
to your special day

Versatile, award-winning Sheffield harpist with over 30 years’ experience, offering elegant live music for weddings, celebrations, and events across Yorkshire, the Pennines and the Midlands.

Weddings, Events & More

Planning a wedding, anniversary, or celebration? I’ll work with you on a playlist to find the perfect mood for your day – romantic, joyful, or fun.  I also offer music for more reflective occasions, including funerals and memorials, bringing comfort and honouring  your memories.

I play both orchestral pedal harp and folk harp. I also perform as a duo with clarinet or saxophone for an extra touch of sparkle.

I’ve performed across the UK and Europe, and regularly play with orchestras, choirs, and in studio sessions. I love playing for special occasions. Whether it’s a couple’s favourite song at their wedding, traditional music that reflects someone’s heritage, or a gentle piece to honour a loved one, it’s a privilege to be part of these moments.

Based in Sheffield, I travel for bookings across the Peak District, Yorkshire, Lancashire,  the Midlands, East Anglia and the North, and I’m always happy to discuss other locations.

Q&A

Can I choose the music?
Of course! You can also request up to 3 new songs, and we’ll chat to tailor the playlist to your tastes.

Do you play outside?
Yes, with advance notice. The harp needs shade and cover, a dry flat surface, and possibly power for amplification.

Which harp will you bring?
I usually bring my orchestral harp, but you can request the smaller folk harp if preferred.

What do you need at the venue?
A space around 3x2m for playing, easy access (harps are big!), and nearby parking.

Teaching & Collaboration

Alongside performing I offer harp lessons, in folk and classical styles, for beginner adults and children. My approach is warm and tailored to each student, focused on enjoyment and growth. I believe that joy and curiosity are the foundation for learning, allowing for exploration of music within a supportive structure. Music grades are available but never the sole goal.

Lessons take place in my accessible music room at home in Sheffield (S6); students will need access to a harp for practice. Get in contact with me if you're interested in learning the harp, whether for personal enrichment, creative expression, or structured progress.  I hold an enhanced DBS certificate through the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

I also collaborate with composers who want to explore the harp’s possibilities. I regularly work with composition students at the University of Sheffield, offering insight into writing effectively for the instrument. If you're composing and want to understand the harp’s capabilities or limitations, I’d be delighted to hear from you.

About me

I’ve been making music since I was four, and fell in love with the harp at seven. From performing with my family band as a child to playing for dignitaries, weddings, and orchestras, music has always been at the heart of my life.

I hold a BMus and MA in Music Performance with distinction from the University of Sheffield, where I won the Julian Payne Recital Prize. I’m a member of the Independent Society of Musicians and fully insured.

Whether it’s classical, folk, film and videogame scores or your favourite song, I love creating the perfect musical atmosphere for each event.
